I took a trip to Boston this past weekend, my friend Katie works for a store called Machine Age and they were having a warehouse sale, I came to help out. I stayed over at Katie's apartment. She is also the maker of very rad drawings, she has been making them since I've known her which is like forever.

My friend Michael got a new car, a Porsche. It's from 1984 and it is very cool. He gave me a ride across the parking lot.

The sale was full of all kinds of weird stuff, I was fond of this vintage upholstery fabric

I was also an admirer of this couch, it was pretty dusty though.9

There were plenty of old t.v.s and fans as well. I regretted not setting aside a little navy blue fan that I liked, of course someone bought it up quick. Michael made a time lapse movie of the sale, you can see me working at the table
here: http://vimeo.com/11427029. All and all a very fun trip, I hadn't been to boston in ages. On the bus ride in I remarked at how it seemed as though things hadn't changed, it wasn't until I got around that I saw that all my favorite places had disappeared. I was misty eyed over my long gone Amvets, I believe it is now an Autozone. My biggest shock was that V Majestic is gone, I couldn't believe it. I guess it's been awhile.

  1. Time lapse film is fantastic. Wild sale. And yes, Amvets is gone. Sad, but lots of cool things in my house from there.
